I'm thinking of incorporation reverb into my board, and wandered which of the Boss reverbs you guys think are top? I watched a video on the FRV-1, and have been seriously considering buying one of those. I can't find any second hand though, and I don't know if I'm ready to pull the trigger on £100 for a new one. Anyway, I haven't really bought many pedals brand new. So your thoughts please.... |

Gearmanndude says Reverb Sucks... And I say Verbzilla sucks! Try the EHX pedals (Not the nano hg) |

I agree with Gearmandude, I hate using amp reverb! I can't stand it when it's permanently on, but when used as an effect (like delay) it can make brilliant results. I tried a Verbzilla once and it sounded amazing! Not badly priced either |

Can turn reverb off using a footswitch on my Cube60, the reverb is bad though... But the reverb on my Bandit75 Solo Series is gorgeous. Line6 are "meh" imo, and the verbzilla is subpar, Gimme a EHX cathedral or holier grail any day |

The modulate mode on the RV-5 is pretty sweet.
Also, the DigiTech HardWire Reverb has some good sounds, but I admit I haven't heard it in person. |

I have the RV-2, RV-3, RV-5, FRV-1, FDR-1, EHX Holy Grail, and every compact and dual Boss delay pedal, plus an actual RE-201.
The best reverb is on my Fender tube amp... followed by the FRV-1.
But then, I like that type of reverb

| Hmmm, interesting. I did really like the sound of the FRV-1, and I would prefer a Boss size/style enclosure. |

If I could only have one effect, it would be reverb. And a spring tank will definatlly do! |

I'm having similar thoughts.... I WANT A REVERB PEDAL.... BADLY...
I was looking into:
EHX Cathedral - looks good but the dry signal has to go thru the A/D D/A converters which I don't like - same for the T.C. Nova Verb
BOSS FRV-1 - would buy it in a heartbeat - so if someone could let me know if the dry signal has to go thru the converters - I'd be thankful
T-Rex Room Mate - there's a new version coming out but I don't like those mini knobs the new one has.... I dig the old version so that'd be okay... but it's not a 9V pedal
Demeter Reverbulator - it's not a 9V pedal but it's analog all the way
Van Amps Sole Mate.... not a 9V pedal and almost as much as the demeter... while the demeter looks better imo |

oh the T-Rex Tonebug Reverb seems to be a KILLER pedal... if only it wouldn't look like an ugly soap bar....
really dislike the looks of this one... but the price is good and the sounds are nice as well |

| Hi Mully. I heard you mention the signal going A/D and then D/A... I can only assume that means turning it from an analog into a digital signal and then back again. If thats right whats wrong with that? Is there some signal loss? I actually thought both pedals sounded pretty great as far as verb go :) |
