Hi there you all!

First of all, have a good 2010!

So I wat trying the High-cut mod on my DD-3.
But I wasn't that satisfied with it.
So I didn't leave it.
But the loopback mod is much more fun!
You will save a lot of money, if you do this mod yourself.
Just look wat keeley will charge you!
And it can be easily removed again (if you want to).

So this is wat you need: a stereo jack input with a switch and a Y-kabel.
Remove the dry-only output(Direct) and replace it with the new input.
Tape (isolate)the wires that were connected to it, just to make sure you won't get a short.

Then make a jumper from the whiper of the feedback pot and connect it to the tip, this is your send.
Then connect the ring with the original wire from the feedback pot, wich goes to 11 on the board.
This is your return.

The next thing to do, is to connect the tip with the ring with the switch, so they are connected when there is no jack in there.

Now you connect a Y-kabel to any effect you like.
I tried it with a chorus and flanger, and that's a lot of fun.
Every repeat get's more effect.
If you use a distortion, make shure that the output is not to loud,
otherwhise you get a strange effect.

Here are some examples :

You don't need a High-cut mod now.
You can place a filter or eq in the loop to shape your repeats.

Nicely done. What guitar and amp were you using in the You Tube clips? Also, was there any reverb being used? I thouhgt it sounded like some was being used esp. in the first clip.

Ha my mistake!
These clips are not mine.
They are just examples that I found on youtube.
But the sound is pretty much the same with my pedal.
But with the extra effect in the loop,it's almost if there is a reverb.

I also did an anlog mod, that can be found here:
http://freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1055&hilit=dd3
I made it switchable with the 4-way switch in the battery compartment.(it's tide)
But it's a subtle mod.
But you are right, the first clip sounds like there is a little reverb.
And when you use a light flange or chorus, it sounds just like the flutter of een echo-tape

That's worth trying out some day.
You could make your own modulating delay with a chorus or flanger in the loop that way.
