Kirk Hammett also had ESP built him a baritone guitar with a Pefftronics super rand-o-matic effect built into it.

Greetings all. Latest score..... DD-3, PS-2, BF-2, MZ-2, FT-2, CH-1, NF-1, OC-2, PSM-5, BCB-6 Case and a BCB-3 Case. All for $100.00 (US).
Flea market treasure. Dude unloaded the cases from his trunk and this other guy gets to them before me. He checks them out and asks the price. He turns around to look at some more stuff, I have five $20 bills out and in the dealers hand the cases are in mine and the guy comes back to get the goods. He looks at me quite sadly, knowing he violated the first rule of the flea market. You pick it up and want it, get it, because it will be gone QUICKLY. Etiquette dictated no action on my part until he set the stuff down and walked away. He was way bummed. Sorry dude............

Okay, Racer X was Speeds older bother Rex. Had a falling out with Pops. Went underground as Racer X.
Racer X, saw them about 10 times in the '80s, best show was front row at The Country Club in Reseda the first night of recording for what would become Extreme Volume Live. Absolutely jaw dropping. Living in So. Cal. in the mid and late '80s was an interesting time. ( Scored my first Roland Chorus Ensemble at We Buy Guitars. )
Go Speed Racer, Go !!!!
OD-1 into a CS-1 , can you say sustain ?!?!?!?!

It's about time I added another BOSS to my collection, so I just received an OD-1. I took a chance with the purchase as there was a very basic description, but I'm very happy I did. I have added 3 photos of the pedal below. I planned to do my usual routine - take it apart and give the case a clean, but I think I'll leave this one as is, it just doesn't seem right to tamper with it. I'll need to clean the switch and jacks, but it works - great to finally try out an OD-1.

There is no ink serial number, it must have been washed or rubbed off in the past, I'll give that area a careful clean and see if I can spot any remnants of a serial but I think it's gone. It is the same in every respect as an 8700 batch OD-1 I saw on a Japanese site, the only difference being mine has a clear switch. It contains an NEC uPC474IC chip, and the board is 052-281B.
So the clear switch suggests a serial from 6600 to 8400, but the chip suggests 8600 and up. It was possibly made right around the transition time?
