Can you have all three modes on at the same time? How would that sound? weird... And cool pedal!
no, it's one mode at a time (as the phaser 90, you can only change the speed) and the sound is very warm, you can find some samples here http://www.modezero.com/maestro-ps1a.htm
I have just acquired a Danelectro Chicken Salad vibe pedal. I have read so much about these being an el cheapo Univibe sound alike that I just had to have one to play with. Actually it is a really cool sounding pedal out of the box, it does something that no phaser ever could and just makes me want to play those Jimi licks, bless him. I bought it a. to play with and b. with the idea that if it is any good that I could rehouse it with bypass. I caught the pedal modding bug last year and have been wanting something new to play with. Since it is a cool sounding pedal rehousing seems on the cards which is a shame because I actually quite like the Danelecto mini form it comes in. One possibility is to somehow screen the case and add an external bypass switch via a stereo jack or something. I won't post a photo as there are many on the net and it looks just the same as all of them.
A quick update on the Danelectro Chicken Salad vibe pedal. I have had it a few days now and for a low price pedal this does a seriously good job of those Hendrix, Trower, Floyd sounds, I love it. I can see why those reviewers who knew what it was they were getting like it so much. Surprisingly little noise even in front of overdrive which is where it belongs. Kudos for Dano for making this thing.
I have since sought out and bought a cheap Dano Rocky Road which if it does the leslie thing as well as some people say and as good a job as this one does of the vibe thing should be fun too. My favourite album at the moment is Highway by Free and there is leslie guitar on a number of tracks on that. If all goes well I may house the two together in a 'vintage vibes' dual pedal.
