I'm assuming that most of you have seen the PSK boss look alike pedals.
Does anyone know much about them?
Are they just reverse-engineered with cheaper components, or simmilar?
Has anyone tried them next to their Boss counterparts, impressions? |

| I would buy a dm2/3 pedal from psk if it was analouge and cheap. I dont see myself getting a hold of a boss one anytime soon, but really want to try one out |

The things have been around for a while (over 15 years), but haven't seen one lately. From what I remember they were made of plastic. |

I have their clone of the PH-1r, the PSK PS-1. I have several phasers, so I have to admit this is simply the one which creates the most noise. Amother negative factor is that the casing is just large enough that it will not fit in any of my plastic molded BCB cases. I really was jonesing for a PH-1r, but I found this for about a third of the going rate for the Boss pedal. I am not worried about the plastic, it seems sturdy enough to me. I love the general sound of the phase, aside from the noise.

| Stay away from the PSK analogue delay (sounds like a mantra!). It's a very weak and confused pedal. |

A friend of mine had one of their CH-1 clones and experienced the same problem, it didn't fit into his BCB-6 case. Quality wise they're a whole lot better then the Behringer clones though. |

Hi pedals 4 pv
Sorry mate, I can't agree with you on this one. What about the CE-1 & BF-1.
I guess you might have meant pedals from other manufactures?

There is an exception to every rule I guess. I sold the last one that didn't fit yesterday. The much hated Zoom 505. A guy had an ad on craigslist looking for one,and I got 50 bucks for it.My lucky day. |

Hi pedals 4 pv
I will agree with you this time about the 505 being a pile of
I recently repaired a 606 & it's a totally different pedal, it has some truly stunning patches & emulations.
I know I will get some flack, but I have a real soft spot for ZOOM multi's, I bought one of the first 2020's that came into Au.
It had and still has, great time-modulation based effects, like the Chorus & dual delays. Super clean & digital artifact free patches I have used the reverb's in the studio to spice up vocals. And I still own it, the distortions are usable but nothing fancy. The pitch shifter is a little on the lax side, it tends to have some modulation type of sound, as it tries to track the input pitch.
Don't discredit Zoom's because of the crappy 505, I had one over for repair a long time ago, & couldn't get it back to the customer quick enough, but I never tried the 505-II
The 2020 & 606 have a special home in my home. on a 606 try patch C5 on the 2020 any patch in the 3's (modulations) works well
Regards Dr. Bob
