Hey Guys. Has anyone had much experience with Mogami cabling for guitar leads/patch cables etc? This stuff is expensive but i've been told its the bees nees in the cabling department not just for guitars but for ALL audio applications? Is there much audible difference when using this cable against the generic branded cable? And does this quality of cable combat signal degredation in extended pedal chains? If you have any advice on Mogami cabling let me know, thanks.
I stood at Guitar Center Pro Audio section unscrewing the collar on Mogami TRS & XLR cable ends & I just didn't like the plastic insert design one bit. The cables themselves may be good stuff but their proprietary connectors were not impressive at all. I like something bulletproof that can be repaired easily like Monsters or good ol' Switchcraft.
Oh ok, i've had an offer for some Mogami cabling with Neutrik connectors on the end. i guess if the cabling itself is good and i've heard good things about the Neutrik connectors, they sound like pretty decent quality connections.
Why don�t try George L cables? They are very, very good sounding and rather cheap if you buy it per meter and solder good plugs by yourself. Don�t use the plugs that you screw on the cable, that�s looking for trouble�
