I didn't get any manual with it so I thought I'd check around here. Is there a place online where one could dl the manual?
So what are some of the best ways to use this pedal?
What are some of your favorite settings?
Peace, M.C. |

Favorite settings?
It all depends on the guitar you are using it with. I used to use my PQ-4 mainly to fatten up my strat's low-end, but not that I got a Gibson Les Paul Studio, I use it to emulate bass sometimes, it sure sounds better than an OC-2, havent tried an OC-3 yet though. |

Thanks guys, I tried registering for the Roland site but they haven't emailed my confirmation to me yet.
Yeah Dingus, that's what I'm after, how does one know how to setup the PQ-4 in order to fatten up a sound?

There may be some general settings that would serve as a starting point, but ultimately I think that you're going to have to come up with a setting on your own that's most satisfying to your ears just through experimentation. Different guitars, different pickups, different amps, etc. are all going to factor in here.
I think that the PQ-4 writeup over there on the left has an example for enhancing a Stratocaster tone to be more like a Telecaster.

| When I get home tonight I'll write down my settings for fatting up my American Standard Strat, and post them in image form (if possible) |

Hey thanks for going easy on me guys. I just have never worked with EQ before except for my tone knobs.
Stahlhart: I don't know what you mean by- "the PQ-4 writeup over there on the left..."
Dingus: Thanks, I'll be looking for it. I basically need a starting point and then I think from there my ears will be able to guide me for the hardware I have.
Peace, M.C. |

If you're at the Bossarea home page, on the left side of the screen there's a column for the table of contents here -- scroll down until you reach PQ-4, and you can click on that for details on the pedal, which include a few sample setups for the pedal's controls.
