I'm looking for 2 humbuckers (neck and bridge) for a cheap guitar I bought... I want a heavy sound like Van Halen, or Kiss, with lots of sustain and harmonics, but I want it to have good cleans.. I play through a solid state head and a 212 cab, with boss pedals of course.
I read the descriptions of the Tonerider Generator and the GFS crunchy pat, or the Power Rails...
Which brand/model is better?
Any reviews or info in here?

Thanks!

i've heard VERY positive things about the GFS pickups.

does the bridge pickup need good cleans too?

you're probably best off mixing a dirty bridge pickup with a clean neck.

it's nearly impossible to find any reviews on the power rails anywhere with sound clips. crunchy rails seem to be what people go with for the most part, but power rails have a better description imo.

Any more info on this? As soon as I sell some stuff (drum machine, unused pedals) I'll start moding this guitar, I want new pickups, pots, and probably shielding it...
So which one's better?
Tonerider Generators/Rocksongs or GFS Power Rails?
Toneriders or GFSs?
