Cleaner CS-2's can sell for higher prices. It's because the people buying them know that a normal priced cs-2 might not be in the best quality sound wise... most of them are in bad shape but if it looks clean and its got a high price tag then you know its top quailty.
Maybe it's that I was following this one and 5 minutes before auction closing it was still at 50 euro. I expected 80 at the end because I've seen a very similar one in this condition going for that amount.

well usually the beat up pedals are better.... that's why they get used more.... hehe
but honestly though it's hard to tell if a pedal sounds good just by looking at it
of course one and the same pedal might sound better to you (me) when it looks good - placebo isn't just a band.
