| Is there any way to get ping pong delays while using the stereo ins? I'm running a CE-3 into the DD-6, and using both inputs on the DD-6 defeats the stereo delays. So I can have my CE-3 in stereo or my DD-6 in stereo, but not both (well, if I were to use three amps...). |

I had the DD-6 and the ping-pong delay was only possible with mono input.
Buy the DD-7! It has a few more stereo options! I sold my DD-6 last year to finance my DD-7. The difference was only 20 in the end! That did pay off! And the DM-2 mode of the DD-7 is surprisingly good! |

Thanks, but a DD-7 isn't going to work for me. I use the Warp mode 95% of the time and have an '81 DM-2 on my board already. ;)
I'm probably stuck on this one. The CE-3 sounds wonderful in stereo, but only so-so in mono. I lose low-end, which is not a good thing for my uses. |

But the DD-7 has the Warp mode as well! Believe me! The DD-6's Warp mode just increased the level and feedback. The DD-7 has no visible Warp mode, but you can put in an expression pedal or footswitch and then define which parameters should be changed by using it. So you can change the volume only or the delay rate or both, etc. It is so versatile that I don't miss my DD-6 at all!
Just have a look into the DD-7's user's manual! You'll like it! |

Yeah... I held out for the DD-20 for a long time. Now the DD-7 and DD-6 never see the light of day.
I use a long-chip DD-3 for slap-back, and the DD-20 for everything else.

| The DD-7 needs a control pedal to do tap tempo, doesn't it? Then I'd miss my DD-6 deeply. |

Tap Tempo works with the normal foot pedal as well, don't worry! This time BOSS did take a great leap forward when they improved the delay unit! |

Ah, but the DD-6 has two very important features that make it the winner for me. 1. I don't need another expression pedal or footswitch to get the warp mode. My pedal board is already packed as tightly as possible. 2. I already own it. The price difference between the DD-6 I have ($45 used) vs. buying a DD-7 and building/buying an expression/footswitch is a dealbreaker.
I think I found a solution while I was half-asleep last night. Put the chorus after the delay Run one of the stereo outs from the DD-6 into the CE-3 The other DD-6 out to the first amp Set the CE-3 to Mode II Run Output A to the second amp
This should give me stereo ping pongs with stereo chorusing. I'll try it out later today.
Thanks for the suggestions. Chris Rice http://www.ricecustomguitars.com |
