I found a FS-5U boss switch and I'd like to add a secondary momentary
switch to it to convert it to a FS-6. so it has a smaller footprint
rather than having two FS-5U's (and twice the money) ... I could not
find any documentation on the FS-5U. I'm thinking this is not
complicated. Can anyone here help me understand what the "polarity"
switch does on the FS-5U????

LOL, i opened it up, and the project is over.
THe only room for a momentary switch is close
to the lower edge of the pedal, which is where
the big boss switch is, that is on the Boss
1/4 note symbol.
Project Abandoned!

hi starr36

nice internal picture of the fs-5u.

will you please create a copy of this post, in the internals thread.
that way you get the extra credit for the posting.

i will then place a reference to it in the index thread.

i just picked up am fs-6, i was making (and nearly finished) a dual foot switch.
and stumbled across an as new one, in a local pawn shop.
other than for my wallet, i guess it was my lucky day.

regards dr. bob
