Hello all,

Given the 2nd and 3rd characters in the current Type IV serial number system represent the month and year of manufacture as follows:



For example BI39235 = February 1996

Am I the only Boss geek wondering whats going to happen when we reach Z9 in October 2010?

They miscalculated that date, it should've been dec 22nd 2012.
When the world ends, production stops.

I suspect Roland will just turn the clock back and start over on A0 from November.
They're using the current numbering system on all Roland and Boss products and changing to a new system would probably cost a lot.

What would be the point? I mean, isn't it why they put serial numbers on them? If we have two pedals with the same number...
