OK. I hope this is the right post for this question. I did the Monte Allums mod for the Daddy-O, and it's... wow... it's great, but the bass suffered a lot.

Now I know this is a shot in the dark because you probably don't have the mod details, but the bass is only halfway there now. The LED's 2&3 were replaced in the mod in favor of the 1N4002's, which is probably where the problem lies. Monte acknowledged this may be the issue. He's really cool about it. He suggested changing C6 back to the original.22uF. C6 is on the treble circuit, so I don't see how that could help.

Anyway, looking at the schem, what about .1 or .068 cap near the bass ckt? Would increasing one or both of those to a higher value get the bass back?

I'm still an amatuer at mods so don't rip my head off.
