I'm an Australian living in Canada. Was visiting relatives here and thought I'd check on the job situation. Was offered a job plus sponsorship for a work-permit and I thought "I'll try it for 6 months"... that was 10 years ago.
We'll be moving back to Australia in the next few years - can't take the cold any more!

there's enough states where often moving to a different part of the country may as well be a different planet.
different mannerisms, accents, vernacular, customs, etc.
certain parts of the country really freak me out :P |

Hi Laurie
For those of us "Less Well Traveled".
Please tell us a bit more (why-what-when-where), maybe in a new thread. I would be interested to know.
Or even here, it's your thread anyway.
Regards Dr. Bob |

I'm italian, living in the State of Bananas.
Since I was 17 I moved all around Europe for music (Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Spain...), I've just missed Nederland, UK, Scandinavia and the ex russian countries. |

Englishman, well, Yorkshireman, living in Kuala Lumpur Malaysiaa for the last 11 1/2 years. Before that I was in Hong Kong for just over a year, and before that I was in Manchester for ten years. Even longer ago I was in the (shudders) Thames Valley for a while.
Been here so long that my blood's gone thin ;) |
