For me the thing with the HM-2 is, I can get some great chord distortion sound.
But then I throw in a lead lick or fill, and the lick suddenly sounds muddy!
Suddenly needs adjusting of the High Color. Do that, and the volume increases!
So maybe for straight rhythm it works, but gotta have fills! |

I made the changes myself but it was from instructions I bought from Brian at indyguitarist. Since he is making his living by modding pedals and selling DIY mod kits, I don't want to post it here. It seems unfair to him. The DIY kits are only about $10 US and the parts are only a few dollars at Radio Shack. He also does pedal mods if you send in your pedal I believe. |

| The EQ is changed a bit and the distortion is a little more realistic sounding and not as "fizzy". |

Also, double check the guitartone.net member area in the next week or two -- big update, including the hm-2. The new mod is much better, it really turns the pedal into a more focused sounding distortion.
