Hi,

I own a BCB-3 pedalboard and Id like to connect the three pedals with a 1/4" to 1/4" straight adapter. The problem is that the space between the pedals is limited (about 3cm). I thought about this Planet Waves adapter: http://store.daddario.com/category/146562/14%26quot%3B_to_14%26quot%3B_Straight.

Do you think this adapter will fit? If not, what kind of other adapter can you recommend?

Thanks

Marco

Warum mchtest du Adapter benutzen? Ich nehme immer Kabel. Nimm von der Firma Schulz die Patchkabel PC-3 und werde damit glcklich! Oder wird das auch zu eng?

Translation by Google Translate - Moderator.
Why do you want to use adapters? I always take cable.
Take from the company, the Schulz Patchkabel PC-3 and was therefore happy!
Or is that also too narrow?

Why do you want to use straight adaptors? I always use cables. Use Schulz PC-3's and you'll be happy! Or is there also not enough space for these?

Just use short-flexible patch cables with angled jacks.

Pedals will move about, and so need a flexible connection between them.

I'm not a fan of those straight adapters either, I kicked one in two once.

Hi Folks,

Im convinced now, Ill grab the flexible patch cable, theres enough space for it (altough I still think that the straight ones look better...).

Thanks

Hi again,

PepeMusic uses the Schulz PC-3 cables. What other 15cm patch cables are recommended? The jacks of the Planet Waves cable seems to be a little bit to big for my BCB-3 pedalbaord. So need a patch cable that will fit, it should be flexible enough (ofter a problem of patch cables) and the cable should be high qualitiy (the price is not the problem).

These are the type your looking for,
http://cgi.ebay.ca/6-1-4-To-1-4-Male-TS-Mono-Adapter-Connector-Plug-4M_W0QQitemZ300335376157QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item45ed62271d
Wouldn't suggest them tho, they put stress on your jacks due to Boss pedals through out the years have slightly varying positions of the jacks.

What Christo said. I tried some straight adapters in my BCB-3 and instantly noticed by BD-2's output jack was slightly lower than the input on my CE-5. As a result my BD-2 never seemed to be firmly seated in the pedalboard. I'm sure over time that may have put stress on either of the pedal's jacks or even broke an adapter. I use good quality patch cables between the pedals. May not look quite as neat as adapters but I don't worry about jacks or adapters breaking on me.

pricey but nicey..

George L's right angle plugs and the .155 cable.

Butted together, they give about 2cm clearance between pedals (iirc).

Wow, they look thin, but I've heard they are gig worthy. I use Radio Shack 1 ft. Jumpers. They used to come in a 5 pack for about $12. Now they're singles at $3.99. They're sturdy and inexpensive.

Hey Marco!

Awesome screen name. I also love The Cure. My favorite band.
The back cover of Bloodflowers was my avatar around here for a while.

I have dedicated my left shoulder (tattoos) to my admiration for the band.

So...
What pedals a do you have in your BCB-3?

They do...when you buy new. Sometimes if you buy used the patch cables may not be included.

Anyway, these patch cables are okay, but an upgrade is definitely recommended.
