The most satisfying Boss pedal to own is of course one of the rarer, like SP-1, but this is not the funniest pedal to use (as you who owns it will know). SP-1 can of course be used with more or less creativity, but it has its limits as a creative tool .
There are of course lots of Boss pedals that are a lot of fun to play/twiddle with, HR-2, DD-6, DSD-2, MZ-2, SYB-3 to name a few. In my case DD-20 is without question the funniest Boss-play tool (even if its not in strict case a compact pedal). There are so many settings to explore, more or less hidden functions, I get surprised and amused very often with the results. And DD-20 sounds very good too!

Goran sorry to be off topic, just a short question:
How does the DSD-2 differ from the DD-6? since the DD-6 has that sampling function as well.
Oh funniest pedal? Not sure at them moment, need to listen closer to how some of these pedals laugh at me while I play some bumnotes |

Actually, I think my SP-1 is quite fun to play around with the frequency range, but does has its limit.
My VB-2, can make some funny sounds, as well as my DM-3 when I fiddle around with the delaytimes and feedback. Then you get some really weird sounds...
My DSD-3 is fun too with its sampling function. |

| well, the DSD2 is the same as the DSD3 right? i recently got a DSD3 and what i can say about its sampler is that its way to short compared to the DD6. |

I found the sampler in the DSD-2 to be rather useless. It's so short that you run out of time before you get started. The sample can't have many bits resolution either because it sounds crap compared to the direct signal. I agree that it's fun enough to qualify for this thread though.
I like to mess around with the different settings of the PS-5. It's got a few tricks that are best used for fun |

I agree, the short sample time of the DSD-2/3 limits its usefulness.
for a really weird sound, try connecting 3 flangers in series, all with their knobs turned fully clockwise to self-oscillate ... ... not a very useful sound though. |

I find all the delay pedals very fun to play with! I use it for some of my dance tracks back at home with drum and bass loops in the background.. punch in one note and twiddle with the knobs!! |

Thanks for that tip, read you post long long time ago, but forgotten where it was that is until today.
Cheers man!!
So funniest pedal?? Well I tried last night the PS-3 with an expressionpedal, and loved playing with notes which sounded slightly out of tune.
Find the TW-1 a very sexy pedal to play through, but perhaps that it too much off topic for this thread
Oh by the way, thanks for all of you who made comments about the sampling-time[and quality] of the DSD2 and 3, another one I do not really need since it would just duplicate some of the features of the DD6 and DD5.

Enjoy.
...And don't forget to include me in your "thanks"-section if you use the sound on your CD. |

The guest-list on my CD is still low, if you would like it you could contribute some nice tribal sounds.
Practical considerations: You flight-fare: We could split that I guess. Food and Accommodation: I will take care of that.
So choice is yours man!! |

| ...Isn't it easier to just buy the pedal(s) locally, create the sound from my instructions, and then send me the royalty money? |
