| Just wondering what you all think about the future of Boss stomps.. Do they really have that many more new pedals that they can make? Effects like phase, flange, chorus, have all been done twice if not three times over. Besides reissues (which im not even sure they would do.) how much further do you thinkk BOSS can go with Stompboxes???? |

I'm sure the stompbox is not dead. They're still selling more of them than they're selling multi effects so I hope they have some focus on innovation as well. Winter NAMM is only a month away and that's usually when we can expect to see any new products.
I would really like to see something new and exiting but I'm afraid we will just get new versions of a chorus and a tremolo, this time with a tap tempo switch and otherwise exactly as they already are.
Worst case scenario is that there are no new compact pedals. 2005 was the dryest year ever. Please Boss, don't let 2006 be the same. |

I also think that Boss will steer more firmly towards manufacturing multieffects, when its getting cheaper and cheaper to produce these things, and you can get a lot more features in such a thing compared to a compact pedal.
This also means that it will be even more fun to collect Boss compact pedals, as I dont care about multieffects at all.
And by the way...its in the old compact pedals all the magic and mojo is.

A reverse reverb pedal would be great. I played with a Digitech over the weekend that had that option and it was a really cool sound -- unfortunately the Digitech pedal didn't really "go all the way" with the idea and it was kind of weak.
I agree, a new tremolo pedal with tap tempo is in order. |

Regardless of what they make if it sounds good, looks, good, and is durable, I'll probably gain interest. I loved to see them just fit a muliteffects unit in a stomp box.  |

i would definately buy a sitar effect if boss put one out...as long as its not as bad as the dano sitar swami...uggggh
as sad as i am to say it, i dont think BOSS can go much further with single FX... |

A little off topic but...
I was listening to the latest album by the Darkness. At the end of "One way ticket to heaven and back" there's a sitar solo but it sounds more like a guitar to me. Anyone know what equipment was used on it? |
