| Distortion is my favorite and most used effect, so my MIJ DS-1 is at the top of the list. Because of this forum I am now also coveting a HM-2. After Distortion, it's a tie between Delay and Chorus. For me, that means a DD-6 and CE-2. Conversely, the effect that most frustrates me is Overdrive. I've had various Boss ODs and Ibanez Tubescreamers and I'm just never ultimately happy with them as a pure overdrive effect. I do like my SD-1 with my amps tube distortion, though. Really tightens it up nicely. |

Used to hate the ML-2... Now it is one of my essentials (for the hard stuff), and of course the DD-7. I think the DD-7 is by far the most used pedal by myself. With a little setting/effects adjustment, the DD-7 can complement almost any sound and pedal combination, giving that little extra my ear is always looking for...
I haven't tried BF-2, but would really like too now that everyone seems to vouch for them... They really make that difference? |

awesome guys!! i highly favor the Delays, don't have a distortion pedal... i link up a couple over-drives to create distortion (since distortions are usually dual-stage overdrives anyways). as far as the Boss Flangers, i've never tried any of them but would like to |

even an MIT will do
as what i've heard from demos, MIJ BF-2s sounds more metallic than the MITs, mine's a bit metallic and a bit watery. |

Slight edgy overdrive totally dry (no fx). I switched over to finger picking after seeing Tommy Emmanuel on TV a few months ago. The dynamics when playing+muting more than one note at once, as I used to do with a pick, makes echoes being in the way for that dynamic sound.
I use the Blackstar HT Dual. Also use the RC-2 mostly as a metronome.
I used to use the AC-2 a lot before buying the Variax. |

Personally I prefer my HF2.
Had a MIJ BF2 for a while, but it just don't do what the HF2 could for me. So I sold the BF2.
The HF2 has remained on my pedal board for over 10 years now. Other than my DD20 delay, it's the only effect I now use. |

If I was stuck on a desert island I think I'd want an RC-2 as that would keep me entertained for the longest......
Tonally though the one I like the best is the OD-1, very often my 'pedal board' consists of just that alone- nothing comes close to it at all, I just love it.........
If I had to get rid of all my pedals and just keep one that would be the keeper definately :)
The OD-2 is a pretty sweet pedal too though, thats the next best overdrive in my opinion. I used to use one of those as my main pedal before I found an OD-1......
But sentimentally maybe the MZ-2 as its the first pedal I ever had when I was 13, I'm still pretty fond of that one.......
