just took a look at them, it does all the pedals so much more favours - the samples are a lot better than the official site

There are quite a few at indyguitarist.com. Mainly to sample modded pedals, but there are alot that are of stock pedals.

personally i have come to the conclusion that audio samples cannot be trusted. i use them as a guide only. there are just too many variables that can affect the tone. When i heard the Bosscorp version of the MD-2 i thought that this would make the MT-2 sound like a kitten. i now love the MD-2, but not for metal. it sounds NOTHING like the bosscorp demo when its in my setup. even my MT-2 sounds way off to Bosscorps demo.

maybe im just getting duds.

Yeah, sound samples are a nice peak into what a pedal can do, but do not present the full picture. Some of the better sound samples I have run into at least mention what other gear they used while creating the sample, so you can get an idea if it may work with your other gear or setup. And samples where they mention the pedals settings are a bit handy too...

Good point. I checked out one for a DS-1(modded)and while it sounded great, you could clearly hear that other effects, like a chorus and phaser, kicked in at certain points throughout and no mention was made of the amp, so it is hard to tell unless there is a direct comparison to maybe another pedal that you are familiar with.

That being said, just Google effects pedal audio clips and you'll come up with some, and some of the sites I came across actually note by the link to the clip which gear was used(I believe Indyguitarist actually vocally notes this in some of the clips themselves; a before and after comparison of their mods and at what settings and through what gear).

[Realized after my reply that a bit of what I noted is redundant per what jack already noted; jumped the gun a bit]
