don't know why, but it seems to me that there is more and more black bass guitars in music shops...
is it my imagination ? or is it true ?

I'd rather not, thanks...
I dunno, I see a lot of normal Fender 3-tone-sunburst, and Warwick bare wood. I would rather hear "metal" as a musical fad than 10 more years of bad hip-hop...
In terms of musical instrument trends.. guitars were insanely hot here in 2003 (we had SARSstock, and Jack Black held a red SG), and it's declined ever since - home recording equipment has really dominated the market, not to mention the plague of Rock Band and Guitar Hero (giving the wrong impression about guitar to millions of kids daily!) |

These are mine, the left one is a Fender USA, in the shop I had the choice between black and sunburst. So I chose the black one since I already had a sunburst bass, the right one which is made by Samick. The Fender came with a white pickguard but to make it a little more black, I replaced it with a black pearl pickguard, although it looks a bit blueish on most photos. What can I say, black always look good no matter what music you play.
