Just a quick question for those with an OC-2.

I noticed that my Oct 2 dial is very quiet compared with the Oct 1 dial. Is this normal?

I tried putting a compressor in front as bossarea's OC-2 page suggests and it makes a HUGE difference.

Just wanted to check my OC-2 isn't playing up!

tbh, i had always assumed that the quiet nature of the 2nd octave was down to the speaker not being able to handle the lower frequency! (bass wise anyway!)

Here's a link for ya! Equal loudness contours & audiometry test. Its a shockwave grid with frequencies on the X & dB on the Y. As you'll see, the lower the frequency, the more volume you need to hear it. Another intersting thing of course is testing your hearing range.

Enjoy
