Regarding the rare variations of some Boss pedals, like Octaver OC-2, Super Distorsion Feedbacker DF-2 and Digital Space D DC-3, how rare are these?
Have anyone of you one of these?
Are they seen at E-bay?
How much higher are the prices?

I own the DC-3 Digital Space-D version. I think the pedals are rarer because possibly less were made with variant name and like the DF-2 the rarer one was made in Japan.

I also noticed that the variant names are worth more by about 20 to 50 dollars.

The DC-3 "Digital Space D" variant is probably more common outside of europe. I would say that it is a rare find in europe. It was only sold on the domestic market and not exported if I remember correctly (or at least not in large numbers). Pedals with that logo turns up quite often on Ebay though from sellers in Japan and other countries outside of europe.

Pedals with the "Digital Dimension" logo was sold on export and are the common type you find in europe. Actually I have seen much fewer of these on Ebay compared to the other type logo.

About the DF-2 I think that the "Super Distortion and Feedbacker" logo seems quite rare, since probably quite few pedals were manufactured with that logo before DiMarzio forbid them to use it.

Based on Ebay I would say the Octaver shows up once or twice a month, a super dist maybe 6-9 times a year while the space D are available maybe 3 times a year (those are very rough estimates).

Prices are a bit up and down. I've seen Super distortions go for exactly the same as Super Feedbackers. On average they are probably a bit higher than their more common counterparts but bargains can be had.

Locally aside from Ebay, I have seen a couple of Octavers during the last 6 months, and a couple of Super Feedbackers, but I have never seen a Super Distortion or an Space-D on the swedish market. (Been actively scanning for less than a year)

Just based on searching various music shops around the world, (and excluding eBay, since you guys have that covered) I would have to say that it seems that, of the three pedals variations in question, the most common is the Super Distortion/Feedbacker. The price difference between this and it's more common twin are usually (as already noted) $20-50 USD. The Octaver is not as common, but can be found for $20-30 USD more than the early Octave version. The Digital Space D is apparently impossible to find in shops in the US (I got mine in Kawasaki, Japan), and even the Digital Dimension version is getting hard to find. There was a shop in Hollywood that closed down about a year ago that had two of the Digital Dimension version units (with the boxes). The prices were insane in that shop though, so I never bought anything in there.

From what I've read online, the Digital Dimension pedals are quite commonly used by session guitarists in Nashville. Perhaps within the last few years people have been buying them up and either selling them to shops in Nashville (tons of second hand music shops there) or some people have bought up several of them and is holding them until the value increases. Who knows?

I have been offered $65 for a Octaver. What do you think? I don't go to Ebay for pricing reference since the prices are usually jacked up.

I've seen the Octaver between $60 and $80 USD.
