My Shin-ei Companion Fuzz Wah just arrived from the UK. It's a monster. This is a very angry pedal with the most blistering fuzz ever.

I love it. It's in reasonable condidition for something that is from the 60's (I think?). Needs a bit of a clean up and few screws tightened here and there, but works beautifully.

This arrived yesterday, it's a Flanger made in the USSR. It's pretty ugly.

I can read Cyrillic so transliterating the labels into the Latin Alphabet is no problem. However, I don't speak Russian.

This pedal also has the old Soviet DIN sockets so I can't actually plug it in yet (I knew this when I bought it, I'm intending to fit it with standard 1/4" sockets... and if it sounds good, I might rehouse the whole thing).

The Manufacturer is Elektronika and the model number is FL-01

Even the colour choice is awful... How are soviet pedals usually? Do they sound good at all?

Supposedly this sounds good. This is my first Soviet pedal, and I haven't tried any others. Judging by the quality of their guitars the effects are probably not so fantastic either...

At last I have a Zvex Fuzz Factory, traded it for a Mad Professor fuzz.
And let me tell you all that the Zvex is, without any doubts, the wildest pedal I ever tried. Its totally crazy and one needs a little time to tame it.
A great noise-machine

Witloofboer: All eBay my friend... the Shin-ei was from the UK, and I got the Soviet Flanger from the Ukraine. I also get a few things from Japan (you can get awesome deals on new stuff that has the tiniest flaws because Japanese people want their stuff to be *perfect*). I like to check eBay US, Germany, UK as well as Australia. I have no problem with dealing with people outside of Australia (we are a tiny market - rare, interesting and cool items don't pop up very often here). I just missed out on a Soviet version of a Fuzz Wah a few weeks ago. It looked horrible (but interesting). I like the soviet stuff more as a curiosity rather than a functional pieces of gear...

Radioheading: Cheers mate Hope the recovery is going well...

Yeah! Maestro! Cool design, but why didn't they use potentiometers instead of the three switches?

Ouch! I wouldn't stomp too hard on the switches.
