I'm seeking a heavy, heavy metal box, and a friend of mine has a MT2 and a HM3 to sell, but I can't try them because he lives very far... So, HM3?, MT2? |

| I haven't tried either, but my HM-2 is amazing, you can do Rock to Heavy Metal, and everything inbetween. It's also more common than HM-2's and cheaper than an MT-2. |

stay away from the DS series if you want metal
if you want hissy, trebly metal then definately the MT-2, it can be reached with the HM-3 as well
or for a bottom, fatter, muddier end, i'd recommend the MD-2 |

it took me a loooong time to find a good heavy metal tone.
The MT-2 alone sucks for a decent tone. you will definately want and EQ pedal to go with it. especially if you want an ass kicking heavy bottom.
The MD-2 is also good in a smoother Mesa kinda way if thats the sound youre looking for.
i say forget the HM-3. again its all personal opinion, but i really cant recomend this pedal. i find it sounds like a crappier version of the MT-2. also, the HM-2 is good too. its heavier than the DS series and i really like it for metal solos. |

Hi nibla I have a HM-3, you can get some really kick butt sounds out of this baby.
Can make my super clean Fender (Sorry Bossarea, 7ender) sound like a Marshall. For me, I get a really great rock sound out of this pedal.
Congratulations for a great price as well.

| I actually like the MT-2, but like it even better after getting them modded by Keeley, just don't like the price I paid for the mods now that I got into a bit of building looking into the prices for parts. |

| What about a RAT or a Marshall Guv'nor II ? I think those can give you the METAL sound pretty well.. and of course you can boost it with a good BOSS overdrive, or use the RAT to boost the BOSS... |

I've tried the HM3 and the sound of this pedal is good for me, it works very well with bass too, as I can achieve a huge metal sound with my Rickenbacker 4003!! impressive with the bass knob set full...
One of the things I like the most with the HM3 is the feedback you can get with it, I was interested to buy a DF2 for that purpose but I don't think it will be necessary now.. |

| GET THE DF-2!!! I have both the HM-3, and the DF-2. The feedback you get with the DF-2 is different than the natural feedbeck you get with the HM-3. It's a cool synthteic sounding feedback. The distortion on the DF-2 is really good too. |

| yup the DF-2 feedback is really cool. the distortion is pretty identical to a DS-1. is anyone elses DF-2 kinda quiet? i find i have to turn the level up to 10 just match my other Boss distortions set at 5. |

| DS-2 is also a good distortion pedal. just like the DS-1 but with a little more distortion. just a straight up all round good dist pedal |
