Ok,
There are many experts on this board who can offer a valid critique of pedals, tone and the like. Would anyone be interested in critique anyone else's rig?

ok start with mine. its older and not quite the same, but it has the same general idea with th smooth lead distortion Line A, and the heavy rhythym line B. they all go through the modulation and time effects in line C.

What settings do you use on your Hyper Fuzz StratoSphere? For Melvins/Deftonesy chuggy rhythm, I like:
Treble - 11, Bass - 5, Gain - 5, Mode 2 |

i find the Hyperfuzz very hard to incorporate into my everyday playing. but i absolutely love the tone. i like it for Neil Youngs Hey Hey my My and it sounds great with an OC-2. i pretty much just use it with bass set high and treble set at about noon.
and yes the LS-2 is definately the "brain" of the setup. even though my setup is quite different now than seen in this pic. |

Yeah it kicks ass, I use the gain booster a bit too too, as a volume booster for my Fender Blender, or to send my HM-2/Shredmaster over the top into feedback. |

I cannot believe that you will use them all at once really [or that you keep them in your signal path all the time] as the whole lot looks so complex, and it makes it hard to see [and hear] what is going on really.
Pitty that I cannot do any pics. at the moment,as I would love to show you all what [and how] I am using.
Usually I change my set-up, there are a few pedals which will stay there like a line-selector,preamp, an EQ and an Enhancer, a Compressor may be there most of the time as well. The brand, and the type of version of the pedal does change all the time.
Due to this changing pedals all the time I have not really found the need to use a pedalboard, so all pedals sit on the floor, floating around the line-selector and the various adaptors and four-points needed to power them all. Can look a little messy and chaotic [and does take TIME !!!], but I think that is the pay-off for playing electric as opposed to playing acoustic. |

hey visserman. i seriously do use them all. just not every pedal is always on at once. my chain actually now consists of 32 pedals now. its my home setup and every pedal is there if i need it. and believe it or not, its not noisy. theres a right and a wrong way of doing everything and setup is one of them. there is hardly any noise and hardly any tone loss. most of the time when i jam, i rarely play songs. i usually play on the fly and just jam you know?. that way i can turn on something like the OC-2 and it doesnt necessarilly sound wrong.
in case you havent noticed, im a huge tone freak and sometimes i like to turn on an extra OD or something even though the difference is very subtle. |
