The OD-3 is just a mild version of the BD-2. It has less noise, less grit, less bite.. smooth as a baby's ass. Wonderful pedal.

BD-2 and OD-3 are wonderful pedals for sure, some days I like OD-3 more and some days BD-2.
I had a Stinkfoot modded BD-2 for a year or so, it was of course better than the stock one (I also had that at the same time so comparing was easy). Then I got an offer I couldnt refuse for the Stinkfoot, I shouldnt have done that....
BD-2 is by far more often modded than OD-3, Keeley have some free mod-information on his home page for OD-3. But I like it so much I dont want to mess with it. Anyone tried the Keeley mods?

Hi Goran & Guys

Have any of you, been able to compare a real BD-2 to the COSM modeled BD-2 in the BOSS GT-3 or later Multi-effects units?

I have a patched in my GT-3 called just BD-2, & it's pretty good,
But I don't know anyone, who has a real BD-2 to compare it with.
Just dragging out the GT-3 is a pain sometimes, just depends on the amount of floor space, I have left, on the day.

Goran, what tone mod does Stinkfoot do to the BD-2?

Regards Dr. Bob

I have the COSM model of BD-2 in OD-20 (twin pedal) and I think it sounds better in OD-20, believe it or not. This could be due to the much more advanced EQ possibilities on the twin pedal. As you know the tone control on BD-2 usually have to be on the the left side of the range, just as DS-1, to get a good sound.

For the Stinkfoot mod, look here:
http://www.stinkfoot.se/english/mods/bd2mod_en.htm

I like Stinkfoots full modded pedal a lot, the ice-pick-in-the-ear is totally gone for one thing and its a little more transparent than the stock.
