Hi i've got a CE 2, green label, serial number 838568 the database makes this October 1987, but according to the boss book CE 2 weren't made after '82 anyone got any ideas???

Welcome to the forum from Australia.

Basically the Boss book is incorrect on a number of different matters.
The CE-2 dates being just one of them.
