I get a kick not just from the anticipation of the sound of a new pedal, but also how it will work with amps that I know and rate. A couple of examples that I remember:
- my SS CE-2 into my Fender Pro Reverb - shimmering beauty & crystal clarity - my first, really battered OD-1, into my Marshall JVM 410C - overdriven ecstasy
Plus - strangely - a PW-2 through a Line6 Guitar Port into a PC - the fattest sound I've ever had out of a computer.
Makes me happy.

Mine, so far, has to be my DC-3. That with a BF-2 & touch of reverb behind it is the wettest sound I've gotten yet. Gotta go pee just thinkin about it. |

Has to be my CE-2 SS with all. I could still punch someone in th face and scream how pumped I am about it.
To break the rules for a sec... I had a dream once that a was using a DS-1 in conjunction with a strange graphic EQ that I had never seen before. The weekend after the dream I stumbled across it searching ebay for EQs. A Maxon GE-01, It was the happiest pedal buy I've ever had. Which is still remains the only non-Boss pedal that I own. |

HI Right Foot Boss
What do you have to drink or smoke to have dreams like that!? Great story...

Probably my DC-2... it was such a bargain (25 pawn shop score) and it was such a revelation when I played it in stereo
I like PS-3s too, I have a couple and they're so versatile, I always find a new sound when playing around with them. |

My first DD-3..after my digitech processor was stolen the first two pedals i got was my OD-2 and the DD-3.... echo heaven.... .... the last boss pedal to do that is the CE-2 i picked up a few months back..... blends in with all my other effects perfectly... and really good with the BF-2 for that real 80's wet sound.. although it doesn't make me want to p**s...... ... |

shopping wise - the SP-1 and playing wise - the RX-100 (to be honest it's the only thing that sits between my surfcaster and my amp nowadays)
seems like my gearlust ended when I finally found that guitar. it just sounds so lovely with just a tad bit of reverb sprinkled in here and there

| I'm already thinking about trading my SP-1 and my VB-2 for another surfcaster ;) but that's a bit too offtopic |

Pee rating guide...
SCORE MEANING 1.......Makes the neighbour's dog want to pee it is so horrible 2.......Annoying enough to make small children and furry animals want to pee 3.......Could make the neighbours want to pee if you played it loud enough (pee them off anyway) 4.......Warm, friendly pee 5.......Excited tail-wagging pee

X-Factor... G-Force... Not even close. Rate it with the "P-Scale". I would rate my fore-mention pedal duo as a strong 9.6 on the P-Scale.
Time for a new thread methinks. |
