WHAT A DIFFERENCE.... both sound and price-wise....

the Marshall was okayish but couldn't keep up with the Room Mate at all. It's only a third of the price though...

I tested the Reflector when it came on the market. I had the chance to take it home along with the Echohead and the Regenerator. I tried it in my daily used rig and almost everything I got out of it sounded muddy and muffled. Then I tried my RV-5 again and welcomed back the high frequencies I was missing with the Marshall pedal! I don't like those three pedals.

yup... only tried the reflector but it's a muddy sounding verb.... it also doesn't blend too well with the dry signal.... it somehow stays unattached if that makes sense.

Hi MullyFX

I'm getting a Room-Mate
Wow - You must have a very understanding partner/wife.

Seriously though Mully,
please let us know how it sounds & it's good & not so good points.

Regards Dr. Bob

will do.....

for now since I only tested it for half an hour

the good points:

sounds great in all four modes....
the dry signal is not converted back and forth
is easy to use
looks amazing
the chorus mode sounds so polished (but in a great non-cheesy way)

the bad points:

needs it's own 12V power supply
is expensive

I saw a live concert of Gary Moore on TV a few weeks ago and AFAIK he uses the room-mate on his board...had that great peter green/early fleetwod mac reverb vibe going on....
