Hi.I'm planning to change the resistors of my sd-1 pedal.(%1 tolerance)
Do i have to change all of the resistors on the pcb or changing only some of them is enough?(if it is which ones?)

And of course metal film caps.Newer pedals have opaque film caps and older pedals have different type.Is there a real quality difference between them?

Thanks...

Hi crissoliva! I've been trying to think how to answer this, and i really need to know... What are you trying to acheive? If you can give us that, we can help a little better.

On the question of caps - yep, the new metal film caps are a lot better.

Thanks for the reply.I've checked most of the resistors on the pedal by Resistor Color Coder. And almost all of them are %5 toleranced resistors.I want to change them with the %1 toleranced ones.Using one pedal is no problem but if i use 2 sd-1s there will be too much noise.

The main aim is getting a noiseless and a higher quality SD-1 with some upgrades if its possible to do.

Youre on the right way to obtain a better SD-1 ( in terms of noise and accuracy) but you have to take in to account also capacitors...

Tone is another topic...
