Hi Guys I promised I would upload some pics of an older unusual bit of gear I have owned for quite a while.
I might even get around to some internal pics (later). Yell out of you guys have any questions. No I don't remember, where I got it or paid for it, maybe a Sunday market?
I put it next to a BD-2 (Thanks from Laurie) for size comparison.
I really like the graphics on this tuner, very early (retro) Morley.
Regards Dr. Bob

That's really nice Bob. I like the graphic, it's also still on their website. How well does it track, say, compared to a TU-12 or similar?
It looks like an old oddity from Radio Shack |

Nice one Dr. Bob - glad you put the BD-2 in for size comparison - I thought it was going to be much bigger. You don't see sliders like that around much these days. Very unusual.
I remember those Morley graphics too - I've got lots of old music mags stashed away somewhere and I think variations of them appeared quite regularly.

Hi Dirk & Guys It actually tracks fairly well. But because of its 7 segment Bubble LED's, like on the very old calculators from the 70's & early 80's, & it's TTL logic it eats 9V batteries for breakfast.
I would still use the TU-12 any day, I keep it around for it's vintage Mojo, & its way cool case, & graphics. And it looks nice sitting on the old synth gear.
I was running out of daylight, when I took the pics today, & as I wrote, I might take some internal shots for the Tech heads here.
I have never seen another one like it, It's been in my possession for more than 20 to 25 years, maybe longer.
Regards Dr. Bob

Just a thought Dr. Bob - I'm off up into the loft this afternoon (time to bring the Xmas decorations down )- I'll have a look through some of the old music mags and see if it features in any of the Morley ads - many of the mags are over 20 years old, so you never know, I might find something. I'll post a picture if I find anything |

I found an old Morley ad in the Dec '86 issue of Guitar Player magazine, the one with Billy Sheehan on the cover.
It's on page 113, and it introduces the Black Gold Fuzz Wah pedal. It has the graphic plus a form you could fill out for receiving a free catalog and a crazy bumper sticker, now how cool is that? |

Hey The_Doc
That would be great, I know very little about this beast. It would nice to see some old ads from Morley,, that actually said something about this.
I'm off to the Morley site to see if they have an Antique section. Not that it needs a manual to operate. But it would nice to see what they once wrote about it. If I recall, It was very advanced for it's time.

Hi Dr.Bob
Guitar Player Mag (USA edition) June 1981 (page 91 for anyone who might have the mag).
Not quite what I had hoped for but at least a mention of it!!

There's plenty more old Morley ads where that one came from (love those freaked out graphics), but, even better still (and I couldn't believe this - the world's strangest ever compo)...same mag, page 115:

Odd, just very odd, guitar effects pedals and mopeds - where did that one come from?
(flatbed scanner busted at the moment - sorry for the bad photos )

For all you Tech types & interested parties. Here is a link to the Schematic for the "Fastune Tuner" & heaps of older Morley - Tel-Ray stuff. Sadly no owners manual.

I think I'm developing dyslexia. After reading the title, I was sure this thread was about Bob Marley |

Hi Bossarea
It might be too much cowbell, or worse, not enough cowbell.

Can you imagine cruising into town, and telling your friends that you won it in an effects pedal contest

Hi Dirk
Your friends, would probably think you really meant KICK PEDAL.
And Yes! That's one very MAN-ly looking sort of bike isn't it.
