I got a PN-2 yesterday and it's the same way as yours. The LED is always blinking regardless of whether the effect is on or off. I didn't notice any additional noise though.
I connected it in stereo with two amps. The pan effect is good fun but must be used scarcily. I'm sure the ping pong effect will become annoying if used to much. |

Plenty of them around Goran, but yep, you may have wished you did not sell it in the first place.
had a similar experience yesterday: Just let a few pedals go infront of my nose, thinking: "Let me just see how far one can get with low bidding" Well it does not work eh? When you want something you need to go in there with all your guns. But good thing is that there will be pleny of opportunities to come by.
Oh on the Powerdriver, still have not mailed them yet, but I will do it at a later stage.

| howdy, I have and love the PN-2, I think at a less harsh wave and at a low rate the pan can be integrated into a setup like some people use a chorus that may always be on. I really like it at least. But once again the key of course is having two amps to really utilize it. There are so many bad reviews of it regarding the Tremolo, well yeah if you're looking for straight Tremolo get a TR-2, but if you want the Panning get this bad boy. |

I must admit to at first being disapointed with the PN-2 - I thought the tremolo sucked (and i does!)
but tonight i tried it with a second amp - WOW what an eyeopener..
a whole new sonic world has opened up..
Cheers |

Talking about playing through two amps: What about some reverb on one and on the other staight delayed sound, overal this creates a very spacious sound, which is great for any slow modulation effects such as Chorus, Tremolo, Flange, or even Phase.
Not too keen on using Distortion through two amps, tried even mixing clean and distorted, but feel you loose the focus of you main sound, whereas with the slow modulation-sound that is really your sound, so the two amps and the ping-poning just adds shimmer to the overal idea.
Will try the DD6 to get that ping-pong sound, I am sure it will work just as well as the PN-2..........however, still need to try this. |

| I have done that trick with two amps... One with reverb and a bit of delay, one without either. Very cool and very big sounds came out of that setup. Unfortunately it's a bit impractical for me for live use, but hopefully one day I can do so. |

Done the PingPong Sound with the DD-6 on Saturdaynight, works very well. Used a Tremolo which could handle very slow settings and had DD-6 going in time with the tempo of the Tremolo and connected to two amps.
[Bossarea, have you ever thought about using two of those small practise amps, you know the Marshalls, the tiny ones, need to check model number, they are about 20,- each and take up no space, so for homeuse you could use them, I use them and a Sansamp at the end of the chain and the sound is certainly big, much bigger than what your eyes would tell you............]
The DD-6 made the Tremolo go from one amp into the other and sounded great. Funny that I did not try this set-up before as I have had the DD-6 since late 2002.
For the Tremolo I used a Schaller, again do not know modelnumber at moment, what I do know is that this Trem can approximate the sound of the Boss SlowGrear, or at least this is what I think going on what the description tells me about the Slow Gear. Basically the Schaller does the volume pot idea as well, I could play in time without hearing the attack of the strings..............lovely sound, great for TWin Peak kind of ideas.
Okay comparing the DD-6 with the PN-2, with the DD-6 you will always get some delay in your sound, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, since it makes your sound less dry and a little bit bigger.

You're thinking about the Marshall MS-2 and MS-4. I got a MS-2 and it's not really a quality amp. It's small and made of plastic and that's exactly what it sounds like. I guess I got what I paid for.
It's not a problem testing stereo setups for me anyway. I have about 5 or 6 amps around so there is a lot to plug into. Admittedly they're all a bit different and ideally I would want to use identical amps for the left and right channel but I'm working on that too. |

| Yes those are the amps I meant, and I agree, not really quality stuff, but I find them fun to play through. I power them using an adaptor, it really makes a difference in their sound, also use a different preamp which changes character of the sound completely. |
