I'm torn.

It's blasphemous to do that but its a neat idea.
From far away it looks pretty slick but up close is a different matter entirely.

Gold leaf needs to be burnished with a special tool, usually made of agate. That takes down the streaky look and makes it more uniform. More layers wouldn't hurt either..

I don't DISLIKE it.. but gold isn't my thing. Silver leaf would look interesting.
