hey there everyone!
Just wondering if there is an adapter like the Danelectro No hum that has a higher current rating- say around 500ma, vs. the stock one at 200ma?
I have been lucky with my pedal board as to not have any ground loop hum using two DN-H adapters so far, but I really need something small, cost effective that I can swap in place of these two. I've briefly tried just one DN-H- but my board's total draw is around close to 250ma- just out of one DN-H's capacity. I don't want to cook a single one in the middle of a show and the design of the board doesn't really permit two to be used (not without some serious tear down issues).
Anybody have any ideas, short of me buying a PS brick. I have 7 Boss stompys a Morley SLVO, and a switcher with 4 LED status indicators.
Conversly, if anyone out there knows how to stop a standard wall wart from causing hum, I do have a decent quality adapter that has over 500ma available (complete with hum...).

You could try a Visual Sound Onespot adapter. I have two with the daisy chain and it powers up to something like 1400mA, and there's no hum involved. Their only about $20 for the power adaptor, and $10 for the daisy chain. Give one a try. I think it's exactly what your looking for. |
