When it comes to pedals, I am mainly a player, as I collect too much other stuff as it is, but luckily I am also a pack rat, so I never really get rid of much. Also, if I am using it, I don't really consider it in the collection, if I'm not using it, its a collectable item, so I have more stuff than is listed here, but anyways...

As far as Boss pedals, just a NF-1 and a DF-2.

Other pedals in my collection: DOD fx52 Classic Fuzz, DOD fx17 Wah/Volume, Digitech PDS 2700 Double Play, and this big black and red plastic thing made by Korg, which I cannot remember the name of now, but it was part of the ToneWorks line, which had 3 or 4 footswitches, and you could program different distortions into the thing. It was my first and last attempt at anything resembling a multi-processor. That unit made me realize more features and a variety of sound options, doesn't mean it will sound better than something with less features and less variety of options.

I have 11 pedals in my chain. I also have a Morley Wah/Volume pedal from the early 80's and a DOD Chorus, both are broken and sitting in my garage in case I need to use them as spare parts.

Anyway, my chain consists of this:

Les Paul or Strat or Tele >>>
Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Wah >>>
Boss CS-3 Compressor/Sustainer >>>
Guyatone SV-2 Slow Volume >>>
Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal >>>
Ibanez TS-808 >>>
Prescription Electronics Experience (Fuzz/Octave/Swell) >>>
Fulltone Deja Vibe >>> AMP

...and in the amplifier's effects loop:

Boss BF-2 Flanger >>>
Washburn px:8 Analog Phaser (rare 80's pedal) >>>
Boss DSD-2 Digital Delay/Sampler >>>
Line 6 Echo Park >>> AMP

I'm currently shopping for a EH-2 to put at the end of my chain. Since those are hard to come by, I may just put a BBE Sonic Stomp there instead. I'd like to get a Boss SG-1 (Slow Gear), but at their current market value of $350, I'm settling on that Guyatone Slow Volume which works fine. You'll notice I'm using the amp's effects bypass for the delays and "color" effects. I'm doing this so I don't degrade my signal, but I'm currently researching using something like a LS-2 or just a basic bypass pedal. Anyone find it better using a Line Selector instead of your amp's effects bypass???

I'm new to this group and I've been a fan of Boss pedals since I bought my first digital delay in 1988 (the DSD-2). I quickly purchased a CS-3, HM-2, and a BF-2 and those pedals have stayed on my board since without a problem.

Enjoy reading your posts!

hello ed i joined as well only a couple of months ago its addictive...!!! as for the ls2 as an effects, loop i use one for that... i run a wah and six boss pedals straight with another five in the loop(bf2,ph2,tr2,and 2x dd3) i run a tu12 off the b output i use it on straight through and output A for the loop and if i want to use the tuner i just turn it over to B by hand,i would be lost without it on a gig,its like a swiss army knife...!! i think it does bring a little bit of treble to the signal when the loop is kicked in but for gigging you wouldn't notice..(if your using true bypass in the loop maybe this would help for signal loss)as all my pedals are boss i find this isn't a problem..... except the wah... it helps the mod pedals more so than the delays especially the tr2 because you can ajust the volume on each loop with the pot on the pedal to match your orginal signal.. it makes my gigging life so much easier ..and after several pints of guinness and a few shots of jagermeister thats no bad thing...!!!

These are my effects:

DD-3 MIJ
DF-2 MIJ
EH-2 MIT
GE-7 MIJ
OC-2 MIT
OD-3 MIT
PSM-5 MIJ
TR-2 MIT

Dunlop CryBaby 95Q
Aria AFL-1 Stereo Flanger
Arion HU-8300 (Micon Guitar Tuner)

I bought the EH-2 a month ago. Found it used in a music store, paid 400 SEK. Does anyone know how much they cost in the 90's?

My dad bought the MIJ pedals (and the Aria Flanger) in Japan around '85 when he was there on a business trip. He also bought a PW-1 Rocker Wah, but the on/off switch didn't work (it was modified) so I have thrown it away.

I also have a Behringer V-amp if you can count it as an effect...

I have ordered a BCB-60 and I will probably buy a PS-5 later.

EDIT: the DD-3 is a Version 1 (http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/articles/DD3.htm). Must be worth something.

First and foremost I am a player and not a collector, so I do not care how a pedal looks like as long as it works and sounds great. However, I tend to hang on to a pedal that is not quite my taste, but is in great condition and has manual & box (e.g. XT-2).

At the moment I own the following:
TU-2
BD-2 (Keeley Phat Mod)
SD-2
FZ-2
FZ-3
PW-2
DS-1 (MIJ)
XT-2
PH-1r
RV-2

in the mail:
DM-2
DD-5
BF-2 (MIJ, black knobs)

I owned once:
DS-2 (did not like the distortion)
AW-2 (this whole auto-wah concept does not cut it for me...)
HM-2 (even the xt-2 sounds better to me...)
BD-2 (upgraded to the Keeley mod, highly recommended, though costly)
CH-1 (not a chance; at least I got my money back)
CS-3 (I saving up for a CS-2, why settle for less?)
SD-1 (sounds good, but the Keeley mod seems more attractive)

In addition, I have a BCB-60. Very nice board solution.

Cheers

Just getting started - I guess working at a guitar store pays off sometimes though!

Though I don't play much plugged in anymore due to schedule constraints.. I do only like pedals that work, and most of mine are in pretty good shape. I have few boxes or manuals, unfortunately.

My collection (all Boss are MIJ)

DS1
TW1
NF1
CE2
CS2
OC2
DD3
--
non-boss pedals (most are MIJ :)

Arion Compressor mij
ZOOM UF-01 -this whole series is all analog and mij
ZOOM PD-01
ZOOM TM-01

Vox 848 wah - gifted to me by a generous customer
MXR Phase90 - modern w/R28 mod

--

unfortunately, that's it for now. My funds are always low (the house gets priority over pedals!) but I found collecting these to be a nice, low-cost addiction (better than vintage Gibsons or crack, I suppose!). In my future.. MIJ GE-7 (missing rubber tips)

How much do you all care about the smoothness and condition of the back label (it IS there, just rumply)

lovely forum
think I'll come back once in a while

I am far from getting the whole set but the ones that I am really looking for are DM-2, OD-1 and PN-2. If a DD-2 or PQ-3B pops up I will grap one for sure.
