| I saw the legendary Blue Cheer last night. Them dudes are loud as hell. Bassist Dickie Peterson uses a TU-2 tuner. Guitarist Andrew "Duck" McDonald's fx rig is like this, in this order: Dunlop Wah (Not sure which model), Rat Distortion, BOSS Digital Delay (either DD-3 or 6 I think), BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus, BOSS TU-2 tuner. Andrew is the first setup I have seen in person where the Delay isn't the last pedal in the chain, but then again, I saw this before the patch chords were hooked up, so he may have it routed differently. However, it seemed like it was the delay that was hit to get some of the weird sounds that I initially thought were from a treble booster...If you get a chance to ever see them live, go. They have been rocking since 1967 and still going strong...I was totally stoked to see them live as they were one band I thought I would never get a chance to see in person... |
