I've obtained two RV-2's, mij of course, and both were apparently missing the battery clip. Seemed very coincidental...

Then read bossarea description;
"The RV-2 have the highest current draw of any Boss compact pedal. As a result of this it was originally sold with a Power adapter. The RV-2 is consequently the only compact pedal sold in another box than the normal ones."

Do these normally NOT COME WITH BATTERY CLIPS?

You're correct. There's no battery clip on the RV-2. I should really add that to the RV-2 description. The PSM-5 doesn't have a battery clip either.

The RV-2 does not have a battery clip (I also have one). As what bossarea told, it has the highest draw of current.

Yeah, it'd eat Batteries in a matter of minutes i'd imagine.

Yeah, but isn't RV-2 a really good reverb pedal? I just bought one, and i'm quite pleased with it!
