If the marshall is on clean, perhaps it will fit with 1 more distortion pedal?
I used Boss SD-1 and the Bloody Mary on a clean amp, and that was really good.
So if u have Marshall and metalzone + 1 more perhaps, i guess it will be awesome!!! |

| Hey Getchapull, Welcome to Bossarea! Try your Marshall on the clean channel and run high gain on the MT-2, from there work those mid eq's to get that scooped sound. Believe me it's in there! You might want to invest in a noise gate to get silence between fast chords. Have fun and Dimebag rules!!! |

Hey Getchapull. Welcome to the forum! The two tones you're talking about are very different.
To my knowledge, Dime used solidstate technology - amps, pedals, etc. You're probably better equipped to get a tone similar to his. The Metal Zone will come pretty close, although you might find some limitations with your amp. If I recall, the Lead 12 has a 10" speaker, which isn't going to give you the low end that you're probably looking for.
The guys in Metallica use tube amps. Big ones. The Metal Zone will help you get a nice, heavy sound but, IMHO, it's not similar to that Metallica sound. It's not going to be as "big," especially when it's pushing a small, solid state practice amp.
I'm not trying to speak poorly of your gear, just let you know what you're getting into. Good luck! |

| You might look into some of the standard modifications for the Dunlop Wah pedal. As long as you're not dealing with surface mounted components the modifications are really easy and they make a HUGE difference. Check out the DIY resources at http://www.wah-wah.co.uk/ |

| Your best shot at getting those sounds is by modding your mt-2 but it will always sound a bit wrong lol ive spent 7 years with a mt-2 and i just recently gave up. I just got a tube amp so im switching to an overdrive. |

Hi Getchapull,
Welcome to the forum from Hungary!
In my opinion MT-2 is good to get any metal sound, even Metallica or Panthera. But I would recommend you to purchase an XT-2 -> it is where from I am getting the most pantera-type-sound so far!
cheers |
