what's the first song you played on the guitar or bass, and by that i'm saying completely with solos and all that fun stuff? mine was detroit rock city a couple of years ago, let's say like 9 through 11 years
My first song was Eruption. Obviously as a beginner I did not play it anywhere near the level of EVH, but it was the first thing I learned all the way through. I need to start practicing it again. Maybe now after 20+ years I can come much closer to getting it completely right.
I think it was Guns N Roses' "My Michelle", I bought the Cherry Lane TAB book for bass and that looked like the simplest one to begin with Needless to say, after some 13 years later I can still play that entire album with my eyes closed. And I'm getting up there on guitar.
probably "holidays in the sun" (although I didn't learn the right way to play the main riff until a bit later)... I pretty much learned to play guitar by jamming to that album.
