Hey all, first post here. Im looking for a pedal, preferably a boss compact that will let me change pitch on the fly. I.e. lets say i start a vocal loop using a delay pedal such as the DD-5's hold function. I want to be able to keep the original pitch of the loop AND add the changed pitch on top of it, all while being able to adjust the changed pitch.

Understand?

Sorry if this is confusing.

you'll prob need two DD-5's or two DD-6's if you want to be able to control them independantly.

with the DD-6 you have 5.2 secs of hold time so you can overdub away on that but both vocal lines will be affected the same by any changes you make.

i reckon you need a ps 3 and a dd2.
the second out on the dd2 is wet, where the first out is dry.
also, the dd2 has a hold function.

Couldn't you put a ps-2, ps-3, or the like in the loop of the DD-6's delay? Then you could alter the pitch of what's being delayed, but leave the original signal alone . . .

How about splitting the signal into two paths using a simple AB switch or a LS-2. Then in one path you have a sampler and in the other the pitch shifter. Then at the end you mix the two signals back together again.

Ok, maybe i should clarify-
Im using a loop sampler (Line 6 DL4). Is there any BOSS pedal that i could put after the sampler that would allow me to change the pitch of the loop on top of the original pitch of the loop?

Will either the PS-3 or PS-5 do this?
