I have my pedals in two small glass door bookcases from IKEA (about $60 each), I have them on top of each other. I have the pedals standing on the side with the battery screw in two rows per shelf. That way there is room for 36 pedals in each book case. Relatively easy to take them out for playing and it looks nice too. The cartons I have I larger boxes in a wardrobe, that way they are kept in shape as I dont need them for playing just take a look now and then.

| That is one impressive collection. You should win an award or something. How long have you been collecting these? |

| Been collecting for about 5-6 years. The only order is that the strongest boxes are at the bottom and the weaker ones closer to the top. |

It's the older 48sx. When in university I sold my car to afford it. Today it's worth less than the average Boss pedal |

Where do I keep my Boss pedal collection?
In my girlfriends China cabinet.
I'm surprised I still have all of my teeth. |

| while driving the other day, I found a decent-sized wooden display case (with sliding glass doors) sitting on the curb for trash pickup... so instead I picked it up. with some major repair work (one side is completely missing, but I have the pieces) and some plexiglas shelves added, it should do the trick. (maybe there'll even be room for my small complement of DOD pedals... boo, hiss!) |

I store my pedal collection in a old shoebox. The shoes were dumped long time ago but the box remains. The curious thing is the shoebox has the perfect size to store 8 pedal in their boxes exactly. Now that I have a 9th pedal I must go shopping new shoes .

Congartulations Bossarea You are the only other person that I know, that uses a HP Reverse Polish (RPN) calculator. Dr. Bob still uses a HP15C, this calculator is landscape format, & has a 1 line LCD display.
It seems to run on, just the calculations that I punch into it. As, I've had mine from about 1981 maybe? It's only just now, on it's second set of LR44 (Donkey Kong) type button cell batteries.
No-one, so far, has ever tried to steal it from me, (where's the bloody equals key?) Only a few of my Eng. friends have ever heard of RPN.
I've used & had mine for so long, that, it's hard for me to think in, let alone use, a standard algebraic calculator.
Sorry if just turned this into the HP Calculator thread...
PS.. So far I can't seem to get the HP15C to interface with any of my Boss pedals, do you think it's because it runs RPN, & most of my Boss pedals are analogue.

I got a 15c too. I'm surpised to see that it's worth a lot of money these days. I bought it in the mid 80s and it's still got all the functions I need so it's really random whether I use the 48sx, the 15c or a 33s.

Wow Bossarea -- 2 people in the Boss world that have working 15C's I to have a 33 but it is now a rainy day fix it job. I also have a 21C the little cream one with the cont. mem & mini 7 segment red display.
The 15C goes every where with me, like my mobile phone, now there's a project! a 15C with a mobile in it. Yeah I know ----- dreaming again
How many battery changes have you done on your 15C, I only changed the ones in mine, because i was getting concerned, that they would rupture 7 leak in my prized calc.
I have looked around for a long time, to find something to replace it with, as it's become an expensive collecable.
Have you seen anything that might be suitable? I really love the fact, that you can use both thumbs, to enter long equations quickly into it, I can't do that on the other calcs or portrait format HP's
I Stole the thead again. better get off to bed now as it's Sun 3:50 am here. Bye

Oooohh, a 21c. Now you don't see those too often. I love the old ones with the red displays. I haven't seen any of those in a long time.
I replaced the batteries of the 15c once. It's about 3-4 years ago now. They practically last forever. No signs of a leak from the originals at the time but it was probably time to change them anyway.
The 33s was bought as a replacement but I'm not perfectly happy with the way it handles complex numbers. Where the 15c has a seperate imaginary stack, the 33s is using the normal stack for complex numbers and can only store two numbers. Maybe not a big issue but it annoys me. The equation editor is however improved and I think they're comparable with number of functions.
Maybe I need to post a pic of my new Boss pedal bookcase to get this thread back on track again |
