Sort of off-topic.... But as far as I can tell that particular chorus sound is the CE-2 which was modded in some way by Pete Cornish. Anyone able to confirm that? Thats the most amazing chorus sound IMO! Just really curious what it was.

I had been under the impression that it was the Boss CE-1. But then again, I wasn't there - I was busy teasing Bananarama's hair for some video shoot if memory serves.

haaa....I'm really familiar with Roland JC-120's and the CE-1 is supposed to be the same as a JC-120. That's definately the synchronicity sound but that chorus sound from the third album is unique and cool. It seems thicker and more over-the-top (in a good way) than the ce-1/jc-120 is capable of.

I have read that he used the CE1 and CE2 at various points, but I'm not sure when he switched to the CE2. I haven't read anything about his CE2 being modified, but it's possible, I guess.

I found a link that mentions him using a Cornish pedalboard amongst some other interesting gear. Marshall Shredmaster?!?

I've found that i can get pretty close to the andy summers chorus sound with a CE-2. I put rate at 12:00 to 1:00, and depth at 3:00 to 5:00. It's not an exact aproximation, but it's pretty damn close.

The ShredMaster is actually pretty under-rated.

I agree on the Shredmaster. I have one and love it. I just thought it was interesting Andy was using one. I also just picked up the original Guv'nor and hoo-boy! Talk about a great pedal.

i had a shredmaster and yes it has its moments but it didnt appeal to me so i got rid of it, at the moment a have a drivemaster which i find it sounding too harsh.Ive basically given up on these line of discontinued marshall pedals.

You can get the Any Summers Zenyatta Mondatta sound by using two chorus pedals along with a Reverb and a Delay. You may even end up playing in Any's Style of that time, as the sound is so big, it begs for chords with the odd single note jumping out at you.
