It's very expensive for a Boss compact, and it seems to go for high prices on ebay. It's a success in some way, but you can't compare it with a cheaper model like the DS-1 or the SD-1. |

Hey, I didn't recognize it so far! 
But in the BOSS book those questions have already been answered. The "4" spelled "shi" is an unlucky number in Japan because it has an acoustic similarity to the chinese word for "death". Therefore there are two words for "4" in Japanese: shi and yon. Oh, I just see that it has been explained right above in the start post. 
And as said the number two pretends that a pedal is already well-established. And I think that it somehow looks quite cool. |

Yeah, I didn't see it, but these are Fender releases, in a 'vintage' way, so maybe the number one wasn't that wrong there... Dunno. |
