I thought I would just mention this little mod as I like it so much and with a couple of very minor changes it has got the pedal where I want it for low to medium bluesy overdrive (I don't think this pedal is well suited to high levels of drive).

First off (thanks to cctsim) I changed C19 from 5.6nf to 10nf which has the effect of rolling off the highs at 2.8k instead of 5k.

This got the tone much closer to where I wanted it (I don't think it is designed to be a 'fat' pedal) but it was still a little fizzy at higher drive levels.

So, secondly I put a 4.7nf capacitor across the clipping diodes and this took care of the fizz (this can be used on all sorts of drive and distortion pedals although you may want to vary the values as it takes out some more of the top).

So there it is sorted (for the time being) with one change and one addition. Probably this isn't new to lots of people but it may be of help to someone.
