I am thinking of getting one of the Pedal Tote ones, the smaller one but was wondering if anyone knows whether Boss pedals (compacts - old and new) are happy with the power that come with these?
The reason I ask is that i have a cheapish wall wart branded by the shop that I bought it which is excellent, absolutely silent but I also have one of those Power Bank things whish was more expensive and hums with the PSA pedals (not with the ACA ones which I understand have different power circuits).
I don't want to splash out for the nice neat Gator one to find that it's noisy with Boss compacts.
I asked one or two experts about it and finally I decided to buy the Tote without power and instead I purchased a Harley Benton Powerplant. It's cheaper, comes with all the cables and they say it makes no noise. I'll tell you when it's here, maybe next week.
it'd have to be a high-torque treadmill.. gators can't run fast for long! Maybe a small swimming pool which uses wave action to generate power.. the gator's tail could probably get some pedals running.
Thanks for the replies chaps. I did think of building my own board but it looks like it is impossible to buy less than 2m of velro fabric and by the time I have paid for that the Gator non powered one is not a lot more. It's a bit overpriced for what it is but quick and convenient.

Hi David! Sorry for not actually answering the question. The key for PSA pedals is the supply needs to be "regulated" (you are correct that ACA pedals don't need this).
I've checked on line and the Gator supply that comes up is the "G-bus-8". They don't mention what the power cnditioning is on it....... The lack of information concerns me, so at the minimum I'd email Gator and ask them if the 9V outputs are regulated or not.
