Hello....I'm James,

I frequent the Talkbass forums and we tend to raise an eyebrow at those that don't take the time to introduce themselves, or at least fill out their user profile....So I thought I'd take a moment and, for my second post, say hello and tell you a little about myself (while trying not to be pretentious).

I am a bassist who is addicted to effects. My first stompbox was the Boss LMB-3 which is a great transparent compressor that is always on in my setup.

I recently got an SD-2 off of Craigslist and that is what has brought be to the Boss Area. I lurked around for a few days and decided it was time to register.

The effects forums on TB are a little daunting...there are lots of boutique collectors over there, but I'll stick with what I can get from Boss while I learn the ins and outs of FX.

I don't imagine that I'll be in too often, but I will definitely pop by, especially for research (I try to use the search function as often as possible) and when I get a new (to me) pedal.

I also hope to contribute to the forums from a bassist's perspective.

I wouldn't say that TB has any intro rules....you just tend to be taken a little more seriously if you don't just show up and start posting like you've been there since the beginning.
