Hello.

What exactly does the Res knob do?
I read something about feedback...but I am still lost.

Thank you for your help.

It takes a portion of the effected signal and feeds it back in the general vicinity of the input, mixing it with the dry signal. You have to be careful how much, though, as the circuit will go into self-oscillation if you overdo it (some folks like to do this with their DM-2s on purpose).

If you'd like to give reading a schematic a shot, look here:

http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schemview.php?id=117

And you can follow the path from the Resonance control (VR4) at it tapes a portion of the signal after it passes through the bucket-brigade delay (BBD) and routes it back before it.

This site didn't have a schematic for the PH-1r, but I think that it would be somewhat similar in concept.

That should be "taps" and not "tapes", and BBD probably refers to "bucket-brigade device", not "bucket-brigade delay". Sorry.

Everyone can edit their own posts. Just press that little icon above the post resembling a paper and a pencil. The tooltip displays "edit reply"

I don't see this icon... I only have the "show profile" and "reply with quote" icons at the tops of mine. (?)

That's funny. Does anyone else have the same problems? I've gone through the configuration and it looks like everyone should be able to edit their own posts. As an admin I get a slightly different menu but I'll test creating a test user and see if I can find out what's going on here.
