You both have the drummer joke wrong, How do you know theres a banjo player knocking at the door? The knocking gets faster and he's lost his key. Perhaps the stool one is right tho. However the Gentleman one is also incorrect. This applies more to a banjo player than a drummer. It can also apply to an accordian player. To get back to the subject matter, I have a DR880 and I believe it was a bit of overkill for stage use and I spent most of a week learning to drive it programming songs or rhythms into it. It lacks a facility for a further loop so it dictates arrangements somewhat. It has great drums and basses on board. It also has a range of guitar FX which I feel are quite good. I replaced a Yammy RY8 which was a good machine, easy to programme and you could put a loop anywhere you wished. The bass on the Yam was a bit stilted tho but that was to be expected from a machine over 15years old! |
