| My board has 8 AC adapter plugs on them. Its the SKB JS-45 board. Its getting to the point where if I want more pedals, I have to take some off because 8 is all I can power right now. By getting a daisy chain, say one that will power 5 or 8 pedals (those are the two numbers I think I have seen), I would either have to use my tu-2, ls-2, and maybe the ns-2 to power them. I've never done it before so will the daisy chain connect from the extra AC jack on either of those pedals to the rest of the pedals? What happens if I have one connecter thats not used, thats just hanging out. If it touches anything else will it cause things to short out? Should I wrap the unused one in electrical tape? Thanks for the help. |

No need to wrap the extra connectors.
What I do with my BCB-3 is this: The daisy chain has 4 jacks. When I don't need the fourth jack I just tuck it under one of the other jacks out of the way. It doesn't hurt it to touch anything, won't make any noise if it accidentally touches another piece of metal or anything.
Hope I understood your question, it's still early. |

| Hmmm.... I've had different experience with the unused connectors. In mny rig if an unused connector touches anything it resets every pedal. I normally put a piece of tubing over them. |

I fried out an AC adapter once when the tip of an unused plug touched some metal. there was a quick spark and the transformer was melted. touching the sleeve is usually okay... but touching the tip can be bad. |

| Thanks guys. Yeah you understood my question correctly. I'm hoping with the way I have the pedals setup that i will be able to use all of them, but if not, I dont want the daisy chain to short out the rest of my pedals if it touches something. I'll see what I have left over, maybe I'll find a little piece of tubing to put on the end. |

| My BCB-60 came with plastic or rubber tips to fit over the unused plugs. Right now I'm using all of them but before that I took them all off and did not had a problem with the unused ones frying anything. |

Definitely cover any unused DC plugs - they carry the positive voltage on the outside of the barrel, so it only has to touch a ground point (plug or jack on any of the pedals) to short the power out...
As for daisy-chaining, make sure you're not overtaxing the power supply. The PS-45 has a 100mA limit per output (but, strangely, a 1000mA total limit across the eight outputs...). So make sure you don't put more than 100mA load on any of the outputs - simply add together the current draw of the chain (including the NS-2/LS-2/TU-2 you're using the power out jack on).
